Power is supplied through a mains socket inside the house. The installation is protected using an RCD adapter. A 3 pin plug and 3 core rubber cable take the power from the adaptor through a hole in the house wall or door / window frame.

The three core cable is supplied prewired to a weatherproof socket. The armoured cable connects to this socket with a prewired weatherproof plug. The plug and socket are supported by a bracket which may be fixed to the house wall. The armoured cable is fixed to the wall or fence using cleats and may be buried or hidden through shrubs and plants. If buried, cable marking tape is provided which is buried 150mm above the cable. The other end of the armoured cable is prewired to a weatherproof socket. This connects to another 50cm length of 3 core rubber cable which is prewired with a weatherproof plug. Another bracket is provided to support this junction. The rubber cable feeds the weatherproof switch box.
