pH Adjuster for Acid Ponds

Acid pond water can be caused by a high level of organic waste, soft water with low pH out of your tap, excessive rain water.  When your test kit shows you water is too acid – this product adjusts the pH to keep it in the safe range for a pond between 6.5 and 8.0. Contents 200ml, normally sufficient to treat a total of 5,675 litres (1250 gallons). Includes a level measure and instructions.

Bioactive Sludge Control

Throughout the year ponds accumulate debris, dead plant matter, uneaten food and fish waste.  If left untouched this forms an unsightly, unhealthy layer of sludge at the bottom of the pond.  The unique blend of bacteria and enzymes break down this sludge leaving your pond with a clean bottom!  The bacteria are species that use oxygen locked in the sludge for their respiration, preventing a lack of oxygen in the water for the pond fish and other water borne wildlife.  Can also be added to filters to reduce maintenance.

Duckweed Buster

Duckweed is an unsightly and potentially dangerous problematic weed.  The small circular leaved plant rapidly divides to cover the entire surface area of the pond.  This cuts out light killing any submerged aquatic plants.  It also disguises where water starts and ends, being potentially dangerous to wildlife, pets and children.  Duckweed Buster prevents the duckweed from taking up the nutrients it needs to grow, causing it to die back.  Like all vegetative treatments we recommend that as much duckweed as possible is removed manually prior to treatment which will avoid having a pond full of dead rotting duckweed.
